I always say my friends are the reason for my unhealthy lifestyle because in most cases they are. This summer all i have been doing is eatingout with my friends mainly because we all love to eat(who doesnt) and boredom. We use it as a way of "catching up with eachother".This isnt the case for just me and my friends, Americans are eating more meals away from home then ever before. Controlling your sodium intake doesnt mean spoil the pleasure of a restaurant meal, but order carefully....
*read the nutrition info that most fast food restaurants provide, the less preperation a food requires, the less sodium it contains
*When you order be specific about what you want and how you want your food, request no salt, use pepper insead of salt.
* remember portion control. When you know your eating something that doenst fit your eating plan, eat less!

Say "Yes" to an old "no-no"
If you're like a lot of people, you grew up thinking of snacking as a "no-no". Snacking was something you did even though you knew better. Well you can grab snack and let go of the guilt, because its ok to snack. Snackings a natural, so go for the "real thing". Fats, sugars and high-energy foods have a lot of necessary nutrients, especially for growing bodies. An example would be Sugars, they are popularly believed to be bad but they are the main fuel needed by all our cells and physical activity and brain function. Our brain is mostly fat and the only energy source it uses is glucose. I am not saying go ahead and eat all the sugar you want but the body is smart and doesnt care where they get the nutrients as long as it gets alittle of everything.
